Isn't she pretty?

There's a perfect challenge over at the Studio Challenges.It's a scraplift chain and a blog hop at the same time.I desperately needed to cut some paper last night so I made a layout to enter.

Here it is:

 I scraplifted Amanda's layout.I (over)used the round shapes around the photo,the butterfly and the single photo,just like she did.Finally I decorated the bottom right space with a stamp and some sequins.

 I had this ancient card from crate paper which I didn't want to use for a very long time.I kept it for a special occasion(!).I guess the time came.

 I stitched the sequins on the paper like maggie holmes does on several layouts.

Sweet dreams

Την περασμένη Κυριακή,το καθήκον με σήκωσε στις 6 το πρωί.Κακία δεν του κρατώ,γιατί καθήκον είναι, ό,τι θέλει κάνει.Άμα λάχει ξυπνάει και στις τρεις το βράδυ και ζητάει ρυζόγαλο.Όχι ότι τρώει ρυζόγαλο,άλλα ένα ζεστό γάλα το χτυπάει.Ήταν,που λέτε πολύ νωρίς.Καλά καλά δεν είχε ξημερώσει.Και σκέφτηκα,δε φτιάχνω ένα φραπέ που τον έχω πεθυμήσει?Πήρα και το tablet που μου χάρισε η αγάπη μου και βγήκα στη βεράντα.Χάζευα προιόντα scrapbooking και πέφτω πάνω σ'αυτό:

Αγαπώ πολύ τα πινέλα-σφραγίδες του photoshop.Και τ' αγόρασα(με γειά).

Επιπλέον είχα φτιάξει στο picmonkey.com μια φωτογραφία της μικρής με πλαίσιο πολαρόιντ και είπα να τα συνδυάσω.Μου φάνηκε ιδανική περίπτωση μια και υπήρχε κενό στο κάτω μέρος.Κι εκεί έβαλα τα αστεράκια με τη φράση.(Σημείωση:το πλαίσιο πολαρόιντ δεν ήταν και τπτ σπουδαίο τελικά,μια και μπορεί κανείς να δώσει το γνωστό σχήμα με το ψαλίδι του πάνω στο φωτογραφικό χαρτί.Επλίζω να μη σας μπερδεψα αλλά περισσότερο ελπίζω να μη σκέφτεστε,άσε μας,κυρά μου, με την πολαρόιντ!!!)

Το αποτέλεσμα είναι το εξής:

Αποφάσισα να χρησιμοποιώ,πράγμα που είδα στη Wilna,στο φόντο δύο χαρτιά με το πίσω να πλαισιώνει το μπροστινό και νομίζω ότι οριοθετεί όμορφα τη σελίδα.Θενκ ιου Βιλνα!!!!

"Projects that WOW" blog hop

Welcome to Jennifer Grace's "Projects that WOW" blog hop.This is the first time I participate in a blog hop as a contributor and I have to tell you I am super excited!!!!!

So what is this all about?

Projects that WOW!’ is about making your projects stand out from the crowd. What makes you pause and look closer at a scrapbook page when you are flicking through your own albums, or looking at other people’s layouts in magazines? Which cards jump out at you from Pinterest or from envelopes when you open them? What details of paper-crafted home décor or jewellery make you stop and say ‘wow!’? It’s time to learn some of these techniques or styles and put them to use!

This blog hop includes a giveaway for three class places (worth £10 each). To enter you just need to comment anywhere on the ‘Projects that WOW!’ blog hop by 11.59pm BST Thursday 6th June. EACH COMMENT on EACH BLOG in the hop counts as an EXTRA ENTRY into the draw. The winners will be announced at Jennifer Grace Creates on Friday 7th May. This online class will consist of 15 PDF prompts (lessons) and at least 3 videos, and it will run as a ‘live’ class from Monday the 10^th to Friday 28^th June 2013. All the class material will still be available to participants after the end of class, so don’t worry if you can’t manage it while it’s ‘live’. Class participants will receive an email with a prompt attached every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for three weeks.

The class will feature lots of scrapbook layouts, but also some cards, jewellery and home décor crafts (all involving scrapbook paper/supplies). There will be a forum, and a gallery for class participants to upload to, and there will be some prizes up for grabs for those who join in while it’s ‘live’!

Each prompt will have a ‘theme’ of a particular style or technique, which can be used to make crafty projects that grab your attention. You may have seen these styles before but not been able to define them, or you’ll be learning new ways to use them! There will be two layouts, two cards, and another item (eg jewellery / home decor, etc) by Jennifer Grace on each prompt, as well as a layout by a guest contributor. Some will have step-by-step tutorials, some will be super inspiring!

A guilty pleasure in June

Once upon a sketch challenge  for June:

Theme: What's your guilty pleasure?

Oh yes! We all get some sort of pleasure from something we really shouldn't. What's yours? 

Ideas for journalling: scrapping, time alone, food, going to a concert, a T.V show, time in the garden, playing , Facebook, your iphone, shopping, bags, shoes, computer time, designing, creating etc etc

Your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below.

Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . You are allowed to journal in any language but please tell us where on your page we will find your journalling. Remember journalling has to be a bit more than a title, or a generic comment. Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.

 I have never ever tasted trifle before this.I love this soooo much and the only reason I don't make it very often is that it's too fattening.So I only make it on special occasions.I even bought those beautiful old fashioned glasses for this chocolate pleasure.

Μετράω αντίστροφα τις μέρες μέχρι να τελιώσουν τα σχολεία και περιμένω πως και πως το φετινό καλοκαίρι.Στο μεταξύ χρατς χρουτς κόβω και κολλάω χαρτάκια με πολλή όρεξη.Εκτός όμως απ'αυτό πλέκω.Ναι η γιαγιά Ντάκ κοντά σας.Για ένα μεγάλο διάστημα βέβαια βαρούσα στο γάμο του καραγκιόζη καθ'ότι είχα βγάλει λάθος το σχέδιο και τα τετράγωνα αλλού κοιτούσαν κι αλλού έβλεπαν αλλά έτσι είναι ο αρχάριος ρε παιδιά.Τα τρίγωνα τα βλέπει τετράγωνα και μάλιστα είναι και περήφανος γι'αυτά.Το σύνδρομο της κουκουβάγιας με τα πιο όμορφα παιδιά,ισχύει και στη χειροτεχνία.Τέλος πάντων.

Έφτιαξα λοιπόν μια σύνθεση για το get creative με αυτό το θέμα (δηλαδή το πλέξιμο κι όχι την κουκουβαγιοσύνη).Η πρόκληση για σας είναι η χρωματική παλέττα που βλέπετε εδώ:

 Χρησιμοποίησα μερικά από τα πραγματάκια,όπως το ξύλινο ψαλιδάκι, το die cut με την καρδιά μέσ'τον κύκλο και το ροζ λουλουδι που ταίριαξε τέλεια,που μου έστειλε η Αλεξάνδρα και την ευχαριστώ πολύ πολύ πολύ.

Πέρα απ' αυτό έχω να προτείνω δύο πράγματα:

1)τα τέλεια πλεκτά λουλούδια της Ειρήνης στο etsy τα οποία και θα χρησιμοποιήσω προσεχώς και

2)τo blog της Φρόσως εδώ με handmade πραγματάκια
